Performance Synopsis:
Kurt Wiel meets Wizard of Oz performance piece. Scarlet sings to the audience as she cuts her clothes to reveal a new alter ego while in the background a musical saw and mandolin play. Two birds join in the fun. Musical Performance Art Burlesqued at its best!
About the performer:
Claire is a London based comedian, singer writer and performance artist with Claire Benjamin's Dainty Selection and has performed acts around the UK including the Edinburgh Festival, The Rosemary Branch Islington, Madame Jo Jo’s, the Battersea Barge and The legendary Vauxhall Tavern. She was part of the Equality Choir with Elton John and has appeared in various musicals and operettas with Putney Arts Theatre and The Cygnet Players.

The Boy from Brazil

Brazilian song and dance man, Johnny Guim presents his own special brand of jazz cabaret, a tribute to the divas that inspire him. 'The Boy From Brazil' is a musical journey, a celebration of life and of unashamed flamboyance.
About the performer:
In a previous life, Johnny Guim was Biba Lerhue, a notorious drag queen. He travelled from the extravaganzas in Sao Paolo to Italy’s wild house clubs. In 2000, he appeared in the feature film, 'Princesa', released internationally. Now London-based, he is artistic director of the cabaret club, Cosmica.

Obsessively Yours

Performance Synopsis:
Writer and performer Marcus leads us on a journey through song, driven by his twin obsessions in life: music and men. Featuring songs by icons and divas including David Bowie, Dusty Springfield and Annie Lennox as well as original material, this passionate and poignant piece is held together by safety pins, sequins and tainted love.
About the performer:
Winner of Bistrotheque’s Tranny Talent 2007, Marcus Reeves has performed across the UK and with performance artist Ryan Styles (Time Out Critics Choice). In 2004, he released his first EP, Equally Cursed and Blessed and made his first pop video; Stranger Than Fiction. He recently received The Peggy Ramsay Foundation award to write his new play, Single Numbers Only.

About the performer:
Yvon Bonenfant is a maker of devised performance who crosses genres and styles, but whose core home is extended voice. He has performed in Canada, the US, France and Portugal and is now located in the UK. Since 2002, he has made solo work and collaborated with designers and dancers. His pieces range from durational installation to sound installation to solo performance for intimate audiences to theatre and dance venue works.

Matt Winkworth

Quirky, piano-based singer-songwriter/ cabaret style, singing narrative/funny/poignant songs of eclectic influence. Subject matter ranges from forest folk to crystal-meth-dealing fortune tellers, from Alice in Wonderland to Lolo Ferrari.
About the performer:
Matt Winkworth is a 22 year-old, London-based singer-songwriter. He has been writing songs for the past five years and is for the first time recording a collection of them on his debut release Life on Earth EP. A classically trained pianist and singer, Matt has played numerous solo gigs performing his songs at local venues.

The androgynous power-girl performing choreographies for a well-trained tongue that transforms into pinstriped macho-man Steve who philosophies about his sexual activities as his penis-size mutates into a monster that vomits itself out, dies... a bisexual-bilingual (German /English) interdisciplinary performance.
About the performer:
Bridge Markland is a virtuoso of roleplay and transformation. A Berlin based international dance-theatre-performance-artist who effortlessly crosses the boundaries between sub- and high-culture, dance, theatre, performance, comedy and erotic-art. Her speciality are transgender performances in which audiences can experience the change of woman to man (or vice versa).

Ruby Ring

Performance Synopsis:
A one queen drag act exploring the past 40 years of legalisation in the UK, from 1967 - 2007. Lady M, accompanied by a piano, explores queer politics in her unique comic and abrasive way. A mixture of comic stories, political satire, song and improvisation.
About the performer:
Michael trained as an actor at Mountview and a director at the University Of Kent. Theatre work includes: Murder in The Cathedral, La Ronde and Madame De Sade. Michael is currently developing ‘Confessions Of A Dance whore’ at the Oval House Theatre and the early stages of developing ‘The One You Love’ at the Battersea Arts Centre.

Dean Atta

About the performer:
Dean Atta, cultural commentator and community leader. Not only an actor, performance poet and writer; Dean is also a member of the Black Gay Men’s Advisory Group, volunteer for Out On Thursday and co-host of the FYI Podcasts supported by Pride London. He has appeared on BBC Radio 4, is published in various magazines and has performed in numerous venues from the Royal Albert Hall to Hackney Empire.

Pit Pony is a deconstruction of a traditional queer cabaret act that explores and exposes aspects of regional queer identities and the quest to establish an identity inside and outside of mainstream culture.
About the performer:
Owen is an emerging live art/performance artist creating work that questions the parameters of performance and the boundaries in which it is placed. A co founder of interdisciplinary performance collective CWTCH, his work is experimental and itsí deeper attributes explore contemporary issues; the self, cultural identity, queers and communities. He has performed both nationally and internationally.

Cupid The Hormone

Performance Synopsis:
Follow the adventures of Cupid who gets trapped inside the body of a confused lesbian! Cupid discovers a far more complex and confusing reality. The piece explores different lesbian identities (butch, femme, s/m dykes etc) present in our community. Surreal mime meets clowning in a story of lost identity, career possibilities and genetics.
About the performer:
Paola Cavallin works between Italy and London directing, performing and writing shows. An established performer and writer of lesbian solo shows, her work has been recently published in 'Scatti di Teatro Lesbico' an Anthology of Modern Italian Lesbian Theatre Writing. She has toured nationally in the UK and internationally with Theatre Nomad Kazzum and Gerry Flanagan. Recent directorial work include Commedia dell’Arte Musical Scaramouche and Modern Times.

The Iron Eyelashes - Pieter at the Orchid

Performance Synopsis:
One of a cycle of five performance pieces exploring the effects of the rise of the Berlin Wall on an East German family. The story of Pieter, a drag artiste who goes to work in the Western sector on the night the wall went up. He chooses his personal freedom over returning to his family.
About the performer:
Simon trained as an actor who has worked extensively on the London and Edinburgh Fringe. He currently works as a teacher of theatre at the BRIT School of Performing Arts and is a co-founder and Artistic Director of Imaginary Forces theatre company. Christopher Arnold has recently graduated from Arts Educational School and has worked as a musical director and performer for Imaginary Forces on The Iron Eyelashes.
