On the occasion of the Winter Olympics opening in Sochi, Le Zbor, the first lesbian and feminist choir in South-Eastern Europe, published a video for the song Katjusha, expressing their solidarity with LGBT citizens of Russia and worldwide.  Short film directed by Tomislav Fiket.

A compelling drama following recent worldwide condemnation of anti-gay violence in Russia. The film centres around Anton, who faces a moral dilemma when he witnesses a fatal homophobic attack in Moscow: Does he investigate the brutal act and put himself in danger, or does he set aside his outrage and play it safe? Anton searches for the murderer/s despite his boyfriend’s fears, as the suspense mounts.

French-born director-producer-writer Jonathan Taieb presents Russian born stars Renat Shuteev and Andrey Kurganov, who share a loving and natural chemistry in this small budget film that proclaims: our actions should speak louder, rising above our fears.  / UK première / Trailer

As their bond strengthens, Rocky prepares to reveal his secret to Adam… Directed by Sophy Holland and Alicya Eyo, acclaimed short film Brace, which is produced, written and starred by Jake Graf,  draws on London's LGBT scene and landmarks most beautifully in this contemporary drama.

Fagbug  Nation by Erin Davis / LGBT feature-length documentary / USA

FagbugNationFagbug Nation takes you behind the wheel of what it's like to drive the once vandalized, now famous "Fagbug." With six years of touring under her belt, director Erin Davies ("Fagbug," 2009) has her mind set on getting her car to all 50 states, Hawaii and Alaska being the final two. To pull this off, Erin went 54 days without a car, put her car on 5 boats, and flew on 14 planes. Watch as this rainbow coloured Beetle serves as a catalyst for the American nation on the road to equality. / UK Première / Trailer

The film is directed by Casper Andreas (whose short ‘Mormor’s Visit’ was shown at GFEST 2007) and produced by David Färdmar (his film ‘My name is Love was featured at GFEST 2009). / London première.

The Way He Looks  challenges a myth: whether life has really become any easier for younger LGBT people these days? Leonardo and Giovana are best of friends, like all teenagers they yearn for more independence from their parents, dream of going abroad and to experience love's first kiss. Gabriel, the new boy at school quickly becomes friends with them both, but ultimately three becomes a crowd.

Being blind, who will Leonardo give his first kiss to?

Writer and director Daniel Ribeiro’s debut feature film is based on the award winning short film "I Don't Want To Go Back Alone" and draws noteworthy performances from Ghilherme Lobo, Fabio Audi, Tess Amorim. / Trailer

This haunting period drama set in 1810 will stay with the viewer for days... Frank and Theo are two lovers on the run from the British Navy, and a supernatural presence. They soon discover that their new hiding place may be even more dangerous than life aboard the ship they escaped from.
